US Senate Candidate John Shulli issues the following statement: Leftists have seized control over Delaware's Democrat Party.

Wilmington, DE – January 29, 2026 – Today, Democrats in Dover overrode a gubernatorial veto and advanced another in the state senate. The first bill forces subcontractors to report tax withholdings – a move that will disproportionately expose immigrant workers to potential ICE scrutiny when they comply. The second loosens restrictions on marijuana sales, potentially forcing local communities to accept dispensaries closer to homes, schools, and playgrounds.

On the surface these overrides seem contradictory and self-defeating. But the real story is clearer: moderate Democrats no longer control their party. The radical Left does.

They are raiding Delaware’s underground economy to generate more revenue for expansive government programs while simultaneously relaxing marijuana rules to energize their activist base. This is not pragmatism – it is ideology over common sense.

If this momentum is not stopped, Delaware risks becoming the Portland of the East Coast: high taxes, declining quality of life, and policies that prioritize progressive symbolism over working families.

I call on Republicans across our state to mobilize and support strong conservative candidates for the General Assembly to take back the legislature and restore balance.

I also call on moderate Democrats who feel pushed out of their own party – some of whom are now running as Republicans, such as Mike Katz for Senate and Earl Cooper for the House – to return to the Democratic Party and primary the entrenched Leftist incumbents. Republicans do not need more RINOs; we need principled fighters on both sides of the aisle.

To Delaware’s independents: now is the moment to choose. Do you want a future that mirrors the struggles of Seattle and Portland, or do you want a Delaware Renaissance – abundant energy, high-paying jobs, world-class education, and pride in our shared heritage?

I am running to bring change to over 20 years of single-party rule that has only delivered skyrocketing costs of living, young families priced out of homes, and schools pushing radical ideologies instead of excellence.

Statement of Full Support for Operation Absolute Resolve

WILMINGTON, Del. – January 3, 2026 – Following the Commander-in-Chief's announcement regarding the successful military intervention in Venezuela, President Trump has John Shulli’s unreserved support for Operation Absolute Resolve and the capture of Nicolás Maduro.

"Today marks a historic victory for justice, national security, and the cause of freedom in the Western Hemisphere.

I fully endorse the decisive action taken by President Trump and the United States Armed Forces to dismantle the illegitimate, narco-terrorist regime that has held Venezuela hostage for too long and allowed drugs to kill tens of thousands of our citizens.

The briefing made clear that this operation was both strategically necessary and morally imperative. By capturing the leadership of the 'Cartel of the Suns,' the United States has sent an unmistakable message: we will not tolerate criminal dictatorships that poison our communities with illicit drugs and destabilize our region. 

The doctrine of 'Peace Through Strength' has been applied with precision, and the results speak for themselves. I commend the extraordinary bravery and skill of the elite service members who executed this complex mission without the loss of American life.
